Our Objectives
Gaari Dumar Center for Women’s objectives for the first three years of operation include:
1. The creation of a unique, upscale, innovative environment that will differentiate from other local development centers.
2. Educating the community on what the center has to offer.
3. The formation of an environment that will bring people together.
4. Improving literacy among Somali Women
5. Empowering women through skills training
Main Objective
To empower women and youth in order to participate in efforts geared towards improving their socio-economic life and democracy.
Specific Objectives
- Relieving human suffering by meeting basic needs in times of emergencies and vulnerabilities.
- Rehabilitate community (local) production and livelihood systems to reduce future culpabilities.
- Transform active and potential conflict scenarios by re-directing individual and collective human energies towards mutually productive engagements that enhance a culture of respect for life and human dignity as well as universal human rights and peaceful coexistence in diversity.
- Extend primary healthcare services and quality education that transcends conventional (traditional) pedagogues to incorporate life skills, knowledge and expertise on among others.
- Entrench a culture of cost-effectiveness and sustainable development that also embraces sound environmental conservation and management, hygiene and proper sanitation.
